RULES OF FASTING AND ABSTINENCE
Fasting means eating only one full meal. Two smaller meals may be taken which do not equal the full meal. No food may be taken between meals. Fast days are Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Everyone between the ages of 18 and 59 are bound to the fasting obligation.
Abstinence means not eating meat. Meat consumption is forbidden on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays of Lent. This obligation begins at age 14 and has no upper limit.
Every Friday during Lent, 5-7 pm
Adults, $10: fish, coleslaw, fries and drink.
Kids(5-12) $7: fish sticks, Mac 'n' Cheese,
fries and drink. Under 5 eat free.
Drinks included, water, iced tea and lemonade.
Clam chowder available at extra cost. Eat in or take out
The St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish weekly Bible Study resumes on Thursday, Feb. 25, 7 - 9 pm, in the Faith Formation building, St. Patrick's Room. We will be celebrating the Year of Mercy by studying scripture and its impact on Pope Francis' writings relative to the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. We are blessed at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Parish to have so many people who give of themselves constantly to keep our parish alive and capable of sponsoring so many programs/ groups.
